About Dr. Joel Berger
Our goal is to help you achieve your optimal health care goals. We look at the three components that make up your overall health which includes structure, nutritional/chemical and emotions. These three components are inter-connected and when there is a disturbance in one of them it can affect the other two. Health is defined as having a balance of these three components and not simply “having no symptoms”.
Dr. Berger’s approach to health is simple yet efficient. There are four irreplaceable keys in improving your health. They include the following:
A thorough physical examination so that the doctor has a first-hand impression of the patient’s health
Objective data such as blood, stool or saliva tests to give a basic blueprint to determine the state of the body’s chemistry, or x-rays/MRI to confirm or rule out structural problems
Eating a diet mainly of unadulterated, unrefined foods so that the body can rebuild, repair and regenerate properly
The most important step: Commitment
In the age of information, where data is so readily available, you would think that we would have a solid handle in achieving good health. The fact is that more than half the United States population is either overweight or obese. Chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and cancer continue climbing. People take drugs to sleep, improve their mood, digest food, to have a bowel movement and to improve their libido and on and on it goes. The fact is the body is very capable of doing these thing without the use of toxic medications if we simply applied the basic ingredients like proper nutrition, adequate rest and sleep, appropriate physical activity, and having a clear purpose or goal in life.
Dr. Berger has the expertise to provide the direction needed for the patient. He has been appointed in 1994, and still remains, a state appointed Qualified Medical Examiner in Chiropractic-Neurology. He has a Masters degree in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut in 1987. A graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1991. He also earned his diplomat in chiropractic-neurology in 1993, and is a passionate and caring health care provider.
Anything worth having requires repeated correct action so that it becomes second nature and when that happens GOOD HEALTH is reached which brings forth such valuable gifts like pleasure, enjoyment, fun and an improved quality of life.
